Are you looking for grants for your company? You probably already know that finding the right program is the most important step in the entire process of obtaining financing. What's more, it's usually also the most difficult step on the way to obtaining a grant. This is where 99% companies fall off. They can't find a program that fits their needs. Sometimes there just isn't one. More often, they miss calls or don't know if a particular grant is for them.
This article will help you find a grant on your own or show you an alternative - entrusting this process to experienced professionals. Everything here depends on your individual preferences and, above all, how much time you want to devote to this task on a regular basis.
In this article, I will offer you two separate solutions to the challenge of finding grants. Depending on your preferences, you can either look for subsidies yourself or you can entrust this task to professionals. Just as you can do your home renovation on your own or entrust this task to strangers, it all depends on your abilities, available time and the budget you want to allocate for this task.
In the Polish Internet space, there are many publicly available sources of information on subsidies. However, there is no platform that aggregates all these current subsidies in one place... And actually there is such a place, but it is more widely unknown, as discussed below. If, therefore, you want to look for grants on your own. You can do so by wading through the maze of information on sites such as the portal fundseuropejskie.gov.pl Or the PARP website. There are also hotlines that have knowledge, or rather a certain slice of knowledge about grants. You won't talk to an EU subsidy hotline about other subsidies. In addition, the EU subsidy hotline often does not have full knowledge of all current and planned calls for proposals. Or, at least, until recently, this was the case....
Assuming you have a lot of time and self-denial, you are able to check and look for grants yourself. Of course, you don't have a guarantee of success, and you will devote much more time to it than if it were done by someone who "sits in grants" every day, but it is the cheapest solution.
When you want to find the right grant yourself, set yourself up for patience and long-term work. Statistically, it takes a minimum of six months for grant specialists to track down the right program for a company. In your case, if you are not such a specialist, it may take much longer. It also requires recurring, preferably weekly, work. Checking a few basic portals, sometimes making additional phone calls or emails to make sure the program fits your business. Set yourself up for at least 2-3 hours of work per week. On top of that, reading the regulations of the grant is absolutely essential when evaluating the sense of the application. Regulations are usually dozens of pages long and written in legal language. Taking all this into account, most entrepreneurs quickly give up the search, frustrated by the lack of success.
If, nevertheless, you want to look for grants on your own, start with portals such as:
https://funduszeeuropejskie.gov.pl
In addition, there are many "industry-specific subsidies" available, such as those for farmers offered by the ARMA or those related to environmental protection and energy proposed by the National Environmental Protection and Water Management Fund. These are just examples. The palette of solutions is really large, you just need to know how to reach the right sources, devoting a lot of time to it, not one time, but regularly.
If you don't want to spend several hours searching for grants each week (and that's the only way to maintain a realistic chance of knowing about the grant at the right times), you can entrust this task to specialists.
Since we have been dealing with the subject of subsidies for companies for many years, we know that the main reason for not obtaining a subsidy is the lack of information about a given call. That is why we have launched the only subsidy guide for companies in Poland. It is available at: https://dostepnedotacje.pl ; How does it differ from grant newsletters or sites such as funduszeeuropejskie.gov.pl ? Well, first of all, it offers individualized service i.e. program searches for specific needs and capabilities of a given company. Secondly, the programs and solutions that are collected every month are a much broader offer than what you will find on the PARP or NCBiR website. There are dozens of different solutions there each month. Often ones you won't find on your own. For example, calls organized by private companies (banks, Orlen, Azoty), Norwegian funds or international programs organized from the EU headquarters.
By signing up for the DostepneDotacje.co.uk guide, you definitely increase your chances of finding grants. You no longer have to spend hours a week searching on your own, nor do you have to outsource it to an accountant or assistant who simply don't know it.
Every month, Polish companies can take advantage of dozens of financial solutions. This, of course, does not mean that every month there are programs available to suit your needs. However, only by keeping track of the full range of calls on a regular basis do you stand a chance of finding and taking advantage of the right program.
You can do it yourself or outsource the task. From this article you have learned how to check grants for companies in both ways. You have enough knowledge to make an informed decision and get started. 2024 and 2025 are very rich in business grants. It would be a shame not to take advantage
How do you check already awarded subsidies for companies? This question may come to mind when you are looking for funding opportunities or analyzing the activities of competing companies. We present a simple and effective guide that will show you step-by-step how to obtain the necessary information using tools such as the SUDOP system and the SHRIMP application, and what your obligations are towards the grants you have received. In the article you will find practical tips that will allow you to act efficiently and legally.
State aid is a broad sill of financial support provided by the state to companies wishing to achieve their business goals in Poland. Companies can take advantage of various forms of assistance, including EU grants, and including de minimis aid and polsce aid measures. EU grants and other forms of aid provided finance a wide range of projects, including:
One popular type of support is de minimis aid. This is a form of financial support that does not require notification to the European Commission, can be granted for training, investment or tax exemptions, but is limited by a quantitative limit of up to 200,000 euros over three fiscal years. It is worth noting the need to monitor the de minimis aid received, so as not to exceed the aforementioned limit. Among other forms of assistance, it is worth mentioning regional and industry-specific programs, such as Eurogrants, support for start-ups, and SMART and Dig.IT paths for various businesses.
Have you wondered where to get information on the public assistance provided? The answer is SUDOP, a database that provides transparency in the granting of public aid by state authorities and serves as a search engine for aid received by beneficiaries. The SUDOP database contains information on aid measures implemented in Poland, public aid granted, as well as de minimis aid granted to beneficiaries, excluding agriculture and fisheries. With the ability to share aid data, SUDOP is becoming an indispensable tool in monitoring public aid.
Using the SUDOP system makes it possible to find current data on state aid granted, company debts and tenders won, which saves time in analyzing this information. Data from SUDOP is available to all interested parties through a publicly accessible API and through the OCC's website.
There are three main search functions in SUDOP: search for aid measures, search for beneficiaries of selected measures, and search for specific aid received by a beneficiary. The search form in SUDOP allows you to specify criteria such as the aid measure, its purpose, the size of the beneficiaries, or their location.
The SUDOP system allows the use of advanced search criteria, including:
This makes SUDOP an extremely precise tool that allows you to quickly and efficiently find the information you need.
It is important to remember that the data in the SUDOP system is regularly updated. The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (OCCP) is responsible for this process. The data is updated daily, during nighttime hours.
This ensures that you always have access to the latest information.
Another tool worth exploring is the SHRIMP application. This is an IT application for reporting on public aid granted and information on aid not granted, monitoring public aid other than in agriculture or fisheries through the shrimp application. The use of the SHRIMP application simplifies the process of applying for de minimis aid, making it possible to avoid repeated applications, and will eventually turn into a central register of de minimis aid, reducing employers' obligations.
The SHRIMP login process begins with the receipt of a login and password at the email address provided in the application form, after which users can update their data and reset their password if necessary. In addition, the SHRIMP application offers the ability to make corrections to reports already submitted, allowing users to update their public assistance information.
State aid is not only a support for your company, but also a valuable indicator when selecting contractors and business partners. Information on state aid can indicate the competitiveness of the market and the position of preference of certain entrepreneurs, which is important when selecting business partners. Checking whether a company has received state aid allows you to assess a contractor's obligations, which can affect its ability to fulfill contracts.
However, failure to verify public assistance data can lead to contracting with incapable entities due to commitments to support bodies. Failure to verify public assistance increases the risk of engaging in illegal market practices, exposing you to criminal and reputational consequences. That's why it's important to always thoroughly verify information about public assistance received by potential business partners.
The use of public assistance carries with it certain obligations. Beneficiaries of public aid are required to submit appropriate certificates verifying the aid received. Entities providing public assistance, in accordance with the Act, are required to submit reports on the assistance provided to the President of the OCCP using the SHRIMP application. Reports on public assistance provided should be sent via the SHRIMP application within 7 days from the date the assistance was provided.
Failure to provide certificates may result in the necessity to return received funds with interest and is considered a violation of public finance discipline. The recipient of public aid is obliged to repay the unduly received funds within 14 days of the delivery of the call for repayment. Therefore, it is important to always carefully check and comply with all obligations related to the receipt of public assistance, including the implementation of the obligation to submit a certificate.
The opportunities provided by state aid are truly wide-ranging. Public assistance can contribute to:
For example, Company X received innovation grants, which allowed it to develop a new breakthrough solution and launch new products. Another example is Company Y, which benefited from de minimis aid, which allowed it to modernize its technology line and increase production efficiency. As you can see, state aid is an extremely valuable support that can contribute to the development and success of your company.
Public assistance is a powerful tool that can contribute to the growth and success of your business. However, in order to take full advantage of it, you need to know how to use the SUDOP system, the SHRIMP application and other tools. In addition, it is important to always carefully check information about public assistance received by potential business partners and to carefully follow all obligations related to the receipt of public assistance.
Remember that the use of public assistance brings not only benefits, but also responsibilities. By following all the rules and using the available tools, you have a chance to use public assistance for the development of your business. Remember that public assistance is not only a support for your business, but also a valuable indicator when selecting contractors and business partners. Use it wisely!
To check grants already received, you can use the System for Disclosure of Data on Public Assistance (SUDOP) on the OCCP website. There you can search for information on public assistance received.
You can check the decision on direct payments on the eWniosekPlus page of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture website, or from the search engine for beneficiaries of public aid sudop.uokik.gov.pl. You can also find information on the OCCP website by entering the company's TIN to get a printout of the aid granted.
Information on grants can be found on the official websites of EU institutions, the European Funds website, and from consultants and advisors. The grant search engine on the European Funds Portal is also a valuable source of information. However, what I recommend most here is our guide: DostepneDotacje.pl ; which is the only one in Poland that collects up-to-date information on grants from very different sources, preferential loans and other solutions for companies in one place.
State aid is financial support provided by the state to companies in various forms, such as EU grants, de minimis aid or support from regional and industry programs.
Companies receiving public aid are required to present appropriate certificates verifying the aid received. Failure to present the certificates may lead to the necessity of repayment of received funds and violation of public finance discipline. Therefore, care should be taken to comprehensively document the use of this type of support.
